The church is called the Body of Christ. We are the hands and feet of Jesus, carrying out His work in the world.
LOCALLY, we seek to reach out in focused, sustainable ways to make a difference in our communities. Some examples:
Christ Church Care Center - Led by our Deacons, we seek to care for those within our community needing practical help and/or counseling. This Friday outreach impacts those in surrounding communities. Contact Ken Bell.
Reservoir Avenue School Partnership - We run a mentoring program at the Reservoir Avenue School in Providence, collect classroom materials for the start of each year and are involved in other activities throughout the school year. We want to help build up the whole community and contribute to students flourishing in every way. Contact Don Yeoman.
Furniture Connection collects used furniture in good condition and delivers it to people in need of furniture. Most deliveries and pick ups are made on Saturday mornings. If you would like to donate furniture or if interested in helping with this ministry, please call the church office and leave a message in their voice mailbox (884-8632x151).
Lunch on the Hill -Our church is partnering with other community churches and local restaurants to provide lunch every Wednesday for those in need in our community. Our church is responsible to provide volunteers and desserts on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 11am ~ 12:30pm at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in EG. If interested in volunteering please contact Pat in the church office.
God's Squad - This is a group of men who have volunteered to help Christ Church members in a crisis. God's Squad members have a variety of skills, equipment and experiences. If men would like to join just contact Don Yeoman.
Tool Men - This group meets once a month for two hours on a Saturday morning to help widows of Christ Church maintain their homes and properties. This is a great group of guys who devote so much extr effort to make sure the widows we serve get the help they need. If men would like to join just contact Don Yeoman.
