My parents were Baptist Missionaries, primarily in Spain, from 1960 through 1990, and I was with them overseas until I moved to Texas in 1978. I lived there until Paul and I married and moved to Rhode Island in 1988. Paul and I have lived in RI ever since. Growing up as a Missionary/Preacher’s Kid really has defined how I view things.
I’ve been working or volunteering in Accounting since college, including years at Arthur Andersen (Houston), Textron (Providence), and Rocky Hill School (Warwick). Paul and I have two children – Erin, an Environmental Consultant in New Jersey and Neal, who is completing his training in Occupational Therapy.
Education: BBA - Baylor University 1982 Accounting Major CPA - licensed in the State of Texas
Best part of my job: I love working with numbers, organizing and analyzing them.
Favorite Rhode Island Activity: It’s not unusual to find me eating out at one of the wonderful breakfast joints in RI, going for a hike, or hanging by a pond or a beach.
Favorite free time activities: Volunteer position with the Urban Scouts program run by the Narragansett Council of Boy Scouts. I also love to read, play games, and eat out with friends.
