“Let us not grow weary in doing good…as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people.” (Galatians 6)
Compassion is central to our mission at Christ Church. One way this is expressed is through our Needs Ministry. Our Deacons lead the way and help to mobilize all of us in works of compassion.
Individuals and families who come to us or who are already part of the church community, will find the heart and hands of Christ open to them in these and other ways:
- Assistance on Friday mornings with needs of daily living, counseling, fellowship, and refreshment
- Financial help for interim needs (utilities, rent, transportation, etc. as discerned by trained helpers available to discuss the needs
- Ears to listen; someone to pray with and for them
- Provision of food and toiletry items
- Help to secure housing or take are of minor household repairs
- Annual car clinic
- Referral for counseling and support and spiritual guidance.
- In addition, there are periodic and yearly programs and special projects that reach hundreds of people in our region.
If you or others you know need assistance from the Needs Ministry, contact the church office.
