Men's Ministry

Vision: Our vision is to bring together men of all ages to promote growth in Christ and to encourage men to be leaders in serving their family church and community. 

We invite you to join our group of men who gather to worship, learn, and serve our community . . .

Men’s Breakfast: We welcome you to join us on the 2nd Saturday of each month for a couple of hours of camaraderie and prayer accented by a special guest speaker. You’ll leave full of great food . . . food for the body and spiritual food for growth in Christ. 

Helping Hands: If you can hold a hammer, tape measure, wrench and sip coffee then we’ve got a job for you! Many local families have need for "handy men" to do simple chores. The commitment is small but the rewards are huge. Bring your "helping hands" on Saturday morning every other month to help those in need of your skills. 

Boys to Men: This is a new ministry which focuses on taking boys in 5th and 6th grade off camping, or some other activity, with a group of men (including their father or grandfathers) to teach them how to be men of God. 

Movie Night; Each quarter Men’s Ministry sponsors family movie nights. Can you think of anything better than to bring family or friends for a night of phenomenal cuisine (hotdogs, chili, popcorn, dessert) and to watch an inspiring movie with a Christian-based message for all to take home? We always need help setting up and cleaning up afterward. Can you spare 4 hours once every 3 months?

Sports; Got a competitive edge? Our men’s ministry offers basketball in the fall, softball in the spring, and golf in the summer. You don’t need to be talented, just bring your Christian spirit. Click here for the summer 2010 Softball Schedule.

Annual Events

• Iron Sharpens Iron Conference is held every spring somewhere in New England. Join us with men from all over the region to hear national Christian speakers on topics relevant to growing spiritually.

• Annual Men’s Retreat is held each fall at a local meeting site. The experience is complete with a special guest speaker, small group discussions, great fellowship and great food. We hope you will join us!

Ongoing Opportunities

• Men’s Ministry offers many small group bible studies on different days and times throughout the week. Check out the Small Group booklet for details.

• Other opportunities abound to serve and be blessed by those you serve. Men’s Ministries networks with Furniture Connection, Seeds of Hope, and other congregation-based ministries.
