If you are a Christ Church Covenant Partner, please nominate individuals for Senior Pastor Search Team positions. The Nominations Team will notify the Nominees and ask about their interest in pursuing the nomination. Nominees can decline or move ahead with an interview. Recommendations are made to the Leadership Team and then presented to the church body.

Please review the role description below. Then, take time to prayerfully consider the candidate and his/her qualifications. Nominations must be received by Monday, October 13, 2025.

2. Put it in the Nomination box at church

Role Description and Duties of Senior Pastor Search Team Members
Search team members will be responsible for:
- Posting job opening and job description.
- Attending team meetings to review and discuss candidate qualifications and experience.
- Verifying candidates’ licensing status with the East Coast Conference Superintendent.
- Conducting extensive candidate background investigations.
- Viewing and evaluating candidate sermons.
- Interviewing candidates.
- Confirming candidates agree with and comply with all denomination beliefs, affirmations, and positions.
- Recommending a candidate to the Leadership Team. (Upon recommendation of the Leadership Team, the candidate for Senior Pastor shall be called by written ballot with a two-thirds vote of church members present and voting required for a call.)
