Lenten Prayer Room – An Evolving Space of Prayer
This Lent, part of our Connection Café has become a dedicated prayer room centered on the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus’ model for how we talk with God.
People from our Christ Church community have been reflecting on the Lord’s Prayer and offering creative responses—visual art, written work, and more. Each piece is displayed simply, inviting us to slow down, pay attention, and listen for how God might be speaking.
As you move through the space, you’ll find:
- A prayer and collaborative art station focused on themes from the Lord’s Prayer: who God is as Father, His Kingdom, provision, forgiveness, guidance, and protection
- A response station where you can write, draw, or quietly offer your own response—whether you’re very familiar with prayer or just exploring it
- A companion guide with prayers and reflections shared by the artists (We encourage you to visit the room first, then read the guide afterward so you can encounter each piece without preconceptions.)
This is an evolving space—new pieces may be added, materials at the response station may change, and even the time of day can shape how you experience it. Whether you have five minutes or an hour, we invite you to slow down, be still, and let the familiar words “Our Father in heaven…” shape your heart and imagination.
We especially encourage you to visit more than once during Lent and notice how your experience may change each time.
